Prof. Takis Mathiopoulos

P. Takis Mathiopoulos received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 1979, the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree with a specialization in Microwaves and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Ottawa with a specialization in Digital Telecommunications, in 1989, both in Canada.

Since 2014, he holds the position of Professor of Digital Communications, in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Athens (UoA). From 2000 - 2014, with the Institute for Space Applications and Remote Sensing (ISARS) at the National Observatory of Athens, in Penteli, Athens, Greece, first as its Director (2000-2004) and then Director of Research. From 1989-2003, he was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of British Columbia (UBC), in Canada, holding the rank of Professor from 1999-2003.

Over the years, he has supervised 3 groups (at UBC, ISARS and UoA) with R&D activities in the field of “Wireless Communications”, with emphasis on research dealing with physical layer problems for both satellite and terrestrial system applications. He has participated as a partner and Principal Investigator (PI) in 7 European, 12 Greek, and 15 Canadian projects, with a total budget of more than 3M€, funded by the European Commission, European Space Agency (ESA) and the Greek and Canadian government. These include SatNEx and SatNEx-II, which were funded by the EC, SatNEx-III and OFDM Technique for Broadband Satellite Systems funded by the European Space Agency, Sensor Networks and MIMO Studies funded by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GRST), Greece.

Jiang Wenlong, male, born in January 1963, Ph.D., second grade professor. Doctoral supervisor. Dean of School of Electronic Engineering, Director of Provincial Education Research Base. Siping City Municipal Outstanding Expert, Outstanding Communist Party Member, Model Worker. Senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. Taught many courses such as University Physics. Led the construction of the national university students' entrepreneurship internship base recognized by the Ministry of Education and the telecommunication engineering technology entrepreneurship and innovation training base recognized by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Affairs. Applied for and was approved as "Jilin Province Information and Communication Engineering Applied Talent Education Research Base".

Two textbooks were published by Higher Education Press and one monograph was published by Science Press. It has won two third prizes for provincial teaching achievements and one national excellent teaching material. She has published 34 SCI search papers, 35 EI search papers, 3 authorized invention patents and 2 utility model patents. He has participated in the completion of one project of National 973 Program and one project of National Natural Fund. He has obtained one project of Talent Development Fund from the Department of Human Resources and Social Affairs, and is responsible for the completion of three scientific research projects of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, and 14 scientific research projects of the Department of Education and the Science and Technology Bureau of Siping Municipality.
